It has been a long nine months without my sister. Â This time of year I’m usually busy packing to go off on another extraordinary adventure with her. Â This summer my parents are my travel partners and we’re headed west to China. Â I thought should catch up a bit before then.
This winter, I learned to play my sister’s cello, had lots of fun enjoying the excessive amounts of snow that fell on Seattle, and spent Christmas with my family on Whidbey.

In February, I spent a wonderful week soaking up the warmth and sunshine at my cousin’s house in Hawaii.

I also went to North Carolina for a quite hot and lovely week and had a chance to visit my aunt, uncle, and cousin who live there.

Spring in Seattle seemed sunnier than usual and we spent a lot of time outside and had a few chances to sail and visit my adorable nephews.

My life will never be the same without my sister, but it does go on. Â I’m am looking forward to all I have planned this summer, adventures both big and small. Â I just wish she could have been here to enjoy them.
