Once again an interesting combination of ancient and modern.

Rovinj
A view from our hotel window in Rovinj.
They had a musical celebration there our last night celebrating the culture of fishermen. It was wonderful to hear this group singing folk songs.
This group blasting outside our hotel window was somewhat less wonderful, especially as it got late.
Fireworks!
Slovenia. So much more green and lush than Croatia, but it gets a lot more rain too. The farm houses all seemed to be so perfectly painted and in good repair.

There were signs about respecting the swans, but none that said specifically "Don't leave your child alone with a swan!" The mom walked farther away before she realized that swans aren't so nice.
