Mosquitos bothered us a couple of times, but never seemed to bite. On this hike they also really liked his fleece and otherwise kept away from us.

Wild blueberries are a fantastic snack. Wild blueberries by the dozen are even better.

Rather suddenly the terrain changed from tundra to shale on our final hike.

We hiked the dome. It didn't look like anything special, but there were many false peaks and eventually we were far above any other mountain around.

From the top we could see the foothills and the ice at the mouth of the river...

and the arctic ice shelf. It was also amazingly cold. Clouds also kept on moving in and out.
